(The Snitch)
This is my confession site. I am a snitch. I gave police enough information to arrest my stepson. I feel bad for my spouse, but I don't feel bad for him. For three years my spouse and I have have begged this young man to get out of the lifestyle he was in.
Gangs, drugs, weapons became his life. He wore his "colors" all the time. You never saw this boy without these "colors". I relayed a message to him through my spouse that he was not to wear these "colors" or display any other gang related clothing on our property. I didn't want his friends at my house and I certainly didn't want his enemies to see those "colors" on display at my house either.
Some people think these kids make idle threats and just act like they are bad. While some may do that, there are others that really follow through on their threats. Drive by shootings are nothing to sneeze at. A kid with a gun is a potential killer. Take Columbine for example.
I got tired of being disrespected by this kid. Bringing drugs to my house, weapons and still wearing those damn "colors". I had enough. I have other children in my household to be concerned about.
I called the police chief directly and had a very long talk with him. Apparently the police had already been observing the home in which he was residing because it was only a few days later they raided the resident.
Wow! I really didn't expect all the fuss! Honestly, I didn't know what to expect.
I feel bad for my spouse, who has no idea that it was me, but I have no remorse for him at all. He's been nothing but a trouble-maker from the word go. He is a liar and steals and he is much better where he is than pillaging and selling drugs to kids like mine and yours.
He is in jail and has several felony charges against him. He tells my spouse that the detectives say he will be there for a while. Oh well, should have listened to us and changed that lifestyle!
